DailyGlow Support
Quick directions for creating reminders, using My Day, and managing widgets and permissions.
Getting Started
- Open DailyGlow.
- Tap Create Reminder on the Today tab, or tap the plus button on Reminders.
- Enter a title and optional note.
- Choose Daily for one alert at a scheduled time, or Repeating for multiple alerts within a time window.
- Choose when the reminder repeats: Daily, Weekdays, Weekends, Custom Days, or One Time.
- Choose the time, category, color, and any optional Calendar sync.
- Tap Save.
Repeating Reminders
Repeating reminders are useful for routines such as standing, stretching, checking email, drinking water, or taking short breaks.
Example: Workday Stand Reminder
- Create a new reminder.
- Set Type to Repeating.
- Set Repeat to Weekdays.
- Choose a start time, such as 9:00 AM.
- Choose a stop time, such as 5:00 PM.
- Set Frequency to every 2 hours.
- Save the reminder.
DailyGlow will schedule the weekday pattern automatically. You do not need to recreate the reminder each morning.
Using My Day
The My Day tab shows your scheduled reminders in chronological order with times along the left side.
- Repeating reminders appear at each scheduled time.
- Completed occurrences show as completed.
- The NOW marker shows where you are in the current day.
- Use the left and right arrows to view previous or future dates.
- Use the Tomorrow preview to quickly verify the next day's schedule.
Logging a Reminder as Done
On the Today screen, tap Log Done inside the Up Next card.
For a normal daily reminder, this marks the reminder complete for that scheduled day. For a repeating reminder, DailyGlow tracks the individual occurrence so the Up Next card can advance to the next scheduled item.
Quick Starts
Quick Starts are editable templates for common routines such as Stand and Stretch, Drink Water, Check Email, Rest Your Eyes, Morning Planning, Medication, and Wind Down.
- Open the Today tab.
- Tap a Quick Start, or tap See All.
- Adjust the schedule and options.
- Tap Save.
Widgets
The DailyGlow widget can show your next reminder or a compact My Day timeline.
The widget reads DailyGlow reminder data through the app's shared App Group storage. It does not need Apple Calendar access just to display DailyGlow reminders.
If the widget looks out of date
- Open DailyGlow once.
- Edit or save a reminder.
- Return to the Home Screen and give the widget a moment to refresh.
- If needed, remove and re-add the widget.
Notifications
DailyGlow needs notification permission to deliver alerts.
If notifications are off, open DailyGlow → Settings → Notifications and follow the prompt to open iPhone Settings.
Focus modes, notification settings, and other iOS behavior can affect whether an alert is shown.
Calendar Sync
Calendar sync is optional. DailyGlow reminders work without Calendar permission.
If you enable Calendar sync for a reminder, DailyGlow requests Calendar access so it can create, update, or remove its linked event.
Notification Schedule Limits
iOS limits how many pending local notification requests an app can keep scheduled. Very dense repeating schedules can use many notification slots.
If DailyGlow warns that there are too many scheduled alerts, try one of the following:
- Use a longer repeating interval.
- Shorten the repeating time window.
- Choose fewer custom days.
- Pause another high-frequency repeating reminder.
Deleting or Pausing Reminders
Open the Reminders tab to manage saved reminders. You can edit, pause, enable, or delete them. Pausing a reminder cancels its DailyGlow notifications until you enable it again.
